Loblaw has for many years sponsored regional scholarship award programs for its colleagues and eligible family members looking to pursue post-secondary education. In 2011, we announced the launch of a National Scholarship Program, designed to recognize community volunteer work and promote higher education through financial support. This award program is open to all Canadian residents and permanent citizens and is part of the Company’s commitment to making a positive difference in our community. Generously funded by Loblaw and The W. Garfield Weston Foundation, up to 200 scholarships of $1500 each will be awarded in 2017. Applicants must be enrolled or planning to enrol in a full-time post-secondary diploma or undergraduate degree program at a Canadian college or university in the Fall 2017/Winter 2018 academic year. Retail Management - Program Entrance Awards The Ted Rogers School of Retail Management scholarships and awards are donated by a number of retail organizations and individuals. Entrance awards are available for first year students who are actively involved in community, demonstrate outstanding potential to succeed in the retail industry, excel in leadership, sports and contribute to the quality of student life. When you submit your retail awards application in September, you will automatically be considered for all applicable program awards. However, in order to be considered for those with additional /special requirements please highlight any key accomplishments either in your retail experience(s) and/or your academic career. These might include: • Volunteering Experience, • Community Engagement, • Achievements in Sports, • Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Leadership, • Potential to Succeed in the Retail Industry, • Any Other Experience Relevant to your Field of Study.
